The zoo is a fun place on it’s own, especially for kids…but I wanted to make it into a fun learning tool (there I go again) for G as well. So, I was inspired to create my own Zoo Scavenger Hunt for Toddlers with Free Printable! This was a great way to learn about textures, environments, animal habits, and animal features. Plus, it made the zoo more like a game so it wasn’t just a monotonous stroll through wild animals – although, when is that ever boring?
Some of the ideas on my list were to find an animal that:
- can swim
- lives in cold weather
- has feathers
- has hands
- is smaller than you
- has a long neck (it’s not limited to giraffes, ostriches and turtles do too!)
- is playing
- is a baby (we actually saw a joey in a kangaroo’s pouch!)
That’s only a few of the scavenger hunt ideas I have in store for you.. To see the rest of them and access our free printable, follow the link below:
Happy zoo-hunting to you and your little!
