Just like our Paper Plate Apple craft, this project is as easy as can BEE! You cannot beat a project that only requires glue, paper, and a plate. Three items! I promise your kids of any age will love to rip up the paper, get their hands sticky, and watch this bumble-bee come to life.
Although the picture is fairly self-explanatory, I provided a few instructions to help guide you along:
- Start by giving your kiddo yellow tissue paper to tear up – use construction paper as an alternative
- Use stick glue or white glue to cover the front side of your paper plate
- Ask your kiddo(s) to toss the paper on the plate – if they are old enough they’ll be able to press it on themselves, if they’re younger (like my 15 month old) you will probably have to press it down for them.
- Allow to dry.
- Cut out wings, stripes, and head/antennas out of black construction paper. Glue them on and clothes-pin or hold the glued pieces together until you feel its secure!
That’s it. Didn’t I tell you it was easy? What other paper plate crafts have you done with your little one? Shoot us an email or comment below! As always, don’t forget to check us out on Facebook and follow us on instagram:DIYandDinosaurs for action shots of our favorite projects and activities!
