I was in need of some flowers for my summer sensory bin but didn’t have time to get to Hobby Lobby to buy and artificial ones. So, as I found myself crunched for time, I decided to make my own. Turns out I had some old bottle brushes that were about to be thrown out and while the tops were definitely worse for wear, the handles seemed to be aching for a new life. That’s where all of the inspiration came from for my Recycled Bottle Brush Flowers!
Here’s how to start…Grab your old bottle brushes and twist, snap, or bend the tops off with a pair of pliers.
Then, grab your hot glue gun and glue some flower tops onto your handles. I had some wooden ones lying around from a previous craft/event but you can very easily make some paper flowers like I did for Valentine’s Day.
That. Is. It. Stick these bad boys in the summer sensory bin and let your toddler get acquainted with their very own bouquet of flowers!
